Upcoming meetup
San Diego ETA
November 2026.
Novo Brazil Brewing, Mission Valley
The San Diego ETA monthly meetup on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, 5:30 to 7:30 PM in San Diego, California. Free to attend, open to self-funded searchers, funded searchers, independent sponsors, and owner-operators. Buyers outnumber service providers by design, and nobody pitches from the stage. The venue goes out to registrants ahead of the date.
The run of show
- 5:30
Open networking
First round covered by our sponsor.
- 6:15
One conversation worth showing up for
An operator interview, a live deal teardown, or a lender AMA.
- 6:50
Needs, Deals, Wants
45 seconds each: what you're hunting, where you're stuck, what you can offer.
- 7:00
Intro matches
Opt in and get paired into a three-person coffee before next month.
- 7:30
Out the door
The bar stays open.
What to bring
One need, one deal, or one want. Forty-five seconds gets the whole room working on it, and the people who come with something specific get the most out of the night. “I am looking at HVAC companies in East County doing $1M to $2M of revenue” travels. “I am exploring opportunities” does not.
Who is in the room
Self-funded searchers and funded searchers, independent sponsors, people inside the first years after close, and the lenders, investors, and advisors who back buyers. You do not need a deal, a fund, or a closed acquisition to belong here. If you are still on a W-2 and planning the jump, this is the right room.
House rules
- Buyers outnumber everyone else, by design.
- No pitching. The only sanctioned selling is a thank-you: public credit for a referral or an assist.
- Service providers are welcome as guests. Want the mic? Sponsor.
- What is shared in the room stays in the room.
Where
San Diego, California. The venue is sent to registrants ahead of the date. RSVP and it lands in your inbox.
The list
Can't make the next one?
Stay in the room anyway.
One email a month: the next date, the venue, and what actually came out of the last room. No pitches, no course, no funnel. The same rules as the room itself.
